That was a great deal on the Switch. It's all because someone screwed up. I wonder how that trickles down the line. I can't remember where I heard the story, but there was a Target where all the employees in the store were fired since everyone was in on some theft / major discount scheme. Yours probably won't ding the bottom line much.

Regarding Nintendo and their Switch production line: Nintendo definitely stopped production of 3DSes to allocate resources to the Switch. I've been checking retailers for some time and they never have the regular new 3DS, and new XLs are seldom available. I refuse to kowtow to scalper prices on the regular new 3DS model. Eventually that price has to come down.
