Ghost in the Shell: Arise, Part One is the first volume that contains the first two chapters of this exciting new revision of the Ghost in the Shell universe. This special series explores the early days of the Section Nine crew in a time before they were in the Section Nine. In this volume you'll see a younger and more inexperienced Motoko whom is part of a huge group, 501 Organization.  Motoko is trying to solve the case of the death of her superior after he was murdered. Motoko is not alone on the case as Daisuke (a Ghost in the Shell character you are all very familiar with) is also trying to figure out the case and he also wants to join forces with Motoko. Motoko doesn't want to join forces but she is willing to help out on the case just so that she can get the information she needs to know what happened.  Makoto soon finds out that there is a lot more going on in this case than just a simple murder (wouldn't be Ghost in the Shell otherwise) and soon finds herself in a lot of trouble and confusion that'll drive any normal person insane. Kill la Kill Volume Five is the final volume of this action packed, over-the-top, dramatic anime about the high school from hell, an alien invasion, and a spunky young woman named Ryuko. This volume opens up with Ryuko rejecting and leaving her Kamui, Senketsu, due to all of the crazy stuff that I dare not spoil as it is way too huge to spoil. The final battle is also at hand as Ragyo Kiryuin (Satsuki's mother) is getting close to fulfilling her evil plan for world domination.  Satsuki (Ryoko's dear rival) also happens to escape her imprisonment and is off to get her revenge on her dear old mother... Heck, The Elite Four, The Naked Nudist, and Ryuoko are all after Ragyo as well. Sadly, Ragyo has a lot of cards up her sleeve and one of them is to capture Ryoku and brainwash her into doing her bidding. Kill la Kill Volume Four is the second last volume of the epic saga of Ryuko and her journey to avenge her father. In this volume we have our heroes, the ruthless Satsuki, and the Elite Four, still in a huge battle with the entire region of Osaka due to Satsuki declaring war on them.  Ryoko is still trying to find to all of the pieces to her loyal friend and battle suit, Senketsu the Kamui, but is having a hard time trying to do so.  Satsuki and the Elite Four are still dominating as they are more than a match for anyone in the Osaka region. It doesn't take long until we see the naked freedom fighters from a group called Nudist Beach come out to join the battle because the Elite Four are getting way to close to finding out where their secret base is hidden. That's not all that happens in this volume, there will be even more game changing deep secrets revealed in this volume and it will just blow your minds. "Attack on Titan Collection Two" contains the second half of the first season of the sci-fi action show, Attack on Titan.  This show is about a group of youths that are part of a military, set on wiping out giant humanoid looking creatures named Titans.  One of the young youths named Eren just happens to have the ability to transform into one (you'll find out why from watching the first volume).  The rest of the military are scared out of their mind, so they put Eren though a very tough trial to decide if he is a threat to the human race or a weapon that can be used to fight back against the Titans.  After a very harsh and brutal trial we see that Eren is now a member of an elite group of hunters that risk their butts everyday to spot and fight Titans that lurk too close to the borders.  Sound the horns, release the hounds, and let the hunt begin (note: there are no hounds, horns, or horny hounds in this show but there is a hunt).  (Click on "Read More" to read the full review).

Kill la Kill Volume Three marks the half-way point of this dramatic action comedy about Ryuko, a young adult who is after her father's killer and it aided by a crew that includes her best friend named Mako, a magical talking sailor uniform called a Kamui, and one giant scissor blade (technically that's a weapon).  In this volume we get to see Ryuko take on the rest of the Elite Four in the finals of the Naturals Election, a free-for-all battle royal tournament that has all of the students fighting to be top dog.  The battles are going to get even more difficult and intense for Ryuko although she seems very confident that she can win this thing and take out Satsuki (the student council leader) and get the dirt on who killed her daddy.  That is not all as there is someone big on their way to mess with Ryuko and this something big is actually a petite girl with blond hair, a pink gothic-lolita skirt, an eye-patch, and something that is so huge to where I'm not even going to dare to say what it is in this review.  One thing I will say is that Ryuko's questions will finally be answered in this instalment of Kill la Kill.  Will Ryuko regret asking her questions? "Transformers - 30 Years of Optimus Prime" is a compilation disc that celebrates Optimus Prime and the Transformers thirtieth birthday.  This compilation features five episodes from across several generations of Transformers and all of them highlight the greatest Autobot of all time, Optimus Prime.  What episodes are included?  Which generation of Transformers are they from?  All will be explained after the jump as I'll be going over all episodes found on this compilation in greater detail.  Transform and roll out.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Hellsing Ultimate Collection Three" is the third (and final) volume of the Hellsing Ultimate OVA series and contains the final two episodes.  Just a mild warning as this paragraph will contain spoilers and so if you haven't watched the first two collections then you might want to skip this part and head straight to the next paragraph.  Brittan is burning and is flooded with blood and bodies after The Major invading the UK with his army of undead Nazi's and the Hellsing Corporation is doing there best at putting the invasion to a stop.  Alucard is still in a heated battle against an all-new version of Alexander Anderson.  Alexander Anderson became that way due to using a special holy item to become a monster so he can out-strength Alucard.  Sadly the invasion is not even close to being over as the Major has an ace up his sleeve and that is that he had a traitor in the Hellsing Corporation the whole time and that person was none other than the trusted butler,  Walter C. Dornez.  How will this all go down in this epic conclusion of this epic series that was years in the making.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Devil Survivor 2 - The Animation" is an animated supernatural action series based on the video game of nearly the same name, "Shin Megami Tensai's: Devil Survivor 2 (2011)".  This show opens up with two friends named Hibiki Kuze and Daichi Shijima who are sitting down, having some nice warm drinks, and talking to each other about a creepy new web-site/phone-app (they say "Web-site" but it's totally a phone-app).  The site/app is called "Dead Face" (reminds me of "Deadmau5" every time) and all this site/app does is predicts the moment that you are going to die and it shows a video of the supposed moment in graphic and brutal detail.  Daichi Shijima takes a photo of Hibiki Kuze's face and sends it to Dead Face only to get back a clip of seeing them both die in a tragic train accident.  Hibiki Kuze and Daichi Shijima head out to a train station to catch a ride home (you can see where this is going already) and while waiting we see Daichi Shijima checking out a girl named Lo Nitta and goes on about how he wouldn't mind dating her.  Shortly after we see a train coming in and then suddenly comes off the tracks killing Hibiki Kuze and Daichi Shijima just as the video predicted.  We then see a weird moment of Hibiki Kuze getting a text-message asking if he wants to "live" or "die".  Hibiki Kuze chooses to live and awakens in the wreckage with Daichi Shijima and Lo Nitta only to see that the train station is full of demons feasting on the dead.  Sadly I am out of space for the main page preview but do not worry as the rest of the description of the show is right after the jump.  (Click "Read More" to read the review).

"Majestic Prince, Part One" is the first volume of this animated science fiction series.  This series starts up with an alien invasion taking out Earth's space defenses in a horrible and brutal matter where the humans are losing, fast.  Meanwhile we see that the Earth defenses gain a new member to help win the humans the war.  We then cut to a group of five teenagers called "Team Rabbit".  The members that make up Team Rabbit are: Izuru Hitachi (The manga artist that tries way to hard to be a lone wolf hero), Toshikazu Asagi (The smart one that always suffers from having stomach pains from stress), Kei Kugimiya (The straight thinker of the group that takes everything seriously), Tamaki Irie (The big breasted one with an childish attitude that can't seem to get a boyfriend), and Ataru Suruga (The gun otaku that can't seem to get a girlfriend).  Team Rabbit go out on a training mission only to do a terrible job as they can not for the life of them work together as a team.  After their training we see that they are forced into the war even though they can't work as a team.  Team Rabbit somehow manage to get through the mission and are welcomed back to Earth as heroes and thus they go up a rank to where the big boys are fighting the war.  Will Team Rabbit iron out the kinks and work well as a team and save the human race?  I dunno about you but I think we're all doomed, DOOMED! "From the New World, Part Two" is the second (and final) volume of this animated science fiction/science fantasy drama show.  One thing I want to say before you continue on reading this review is that if you haven't seen the first volume and intend to, do not read this review as it will contain minor spoilers that are impossible to avoid (end warning).  This show is about a group of youths that are very gifted as they have psychic powers but sadly they are all also on the run as they fear that they would be exterminated for knowing too much information about something they shouldn't know of in the first place.  The group splits up into two groups as one half decided to risk returning home while the others go on the run.  Saki Watanabe (the main character of this series) goes on trial and explains the situation only to find out that there was nothing to fear in the first place.  Saki becomes very worried about the other youths that decided to run away and so she and the remanding youths go searching for them.  During their search they go visit a Monster Rat (grotesque looking humanoid rats) and meet up with old friends from the great "Monster Rat War" from the first volume.  Sadly they notice something sinister going on in the village and start to suspect the Monster Rats are cooking up plans for another great or even greater war.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Ninja Scroll" is an animated action film set in feudal Japan.  This film opens up with a swordsman named "Jubei" whom has just retrieved a valuable sword for a small village.  Jubei ends up getting attacked by a gang but Jubei puts a stop to them and continues his way.  Meanwhile in a small village we see that all of the people have fallen ill to a supposed plague but some people are thinking something bigger is going on.  A group of ninja are sent to investigate only for nearly the whole squad to get wiped out with the only surviving member being a female ninja named Kagero.  Kagero gets knocked-out by the guy that took out the team and then taken to a small building to where the attacker has his way with her.  While Kagero is getting licked and penetrated we see that Jubei has stumbled into the house and is lost and so he asks for directions.  Jubei's presence makes the attacker very angry and then they fight only for the attacker to get away.  Kagero is very grateful and helps Jubei on his way by giving him directions.  Jubei makes it to the place but is then ambushed by the attacker and the attacker isn't any normal man as this guy can make his skin rock hard to where no sword could penetrate or slice his rock hard abs (ba dum tish).  Jubei ends up using the sword and finds out that he can hurt him with it and thus defeats him.  Sadly this is only the beginning of his journey as there are more warriors like the stone-skin guy that want Jubei's head and these guys are stronger and have even more crazy powers.  Jubei also has no choice but to stop them anyway as he was visited by an old ninja named Dakuan.  The reason why Jubei has "no choice" is due to Dakuan saying the word "please"...  By "please" I mean that Dakuan poisons Jubei so that he'd have no choice but to accept.  Will Jubei put a stop to these monsters and gain the antidote so he can live his life normally again?  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Bayonetta: Bloody Fate" is an animated action film based on the action packed video game series of the same name.  This film opens up with a lecture on the history of the great war between "Witches" and "Angels" that ends telling a story about a child whom his/her (it doesn't say in the story) parents were a Witch and an Angel.  We cut to a church where we see a journalist named "Luka" is setting up his camera to capture something huge.  In the church we see a nun chanting something to summon Angels but when they show we see that this person isn't a nun at all but rather an Angel hunting Witch named Bayonetta.  We then see Bayonetta shooting the Angels to hell (metaphorical hell) all over the church and thus we see that Luka is trying to capture pictures of Bayonetta at work.  Once the battle has ended we see Bayonetta meeting up with Luka and smashing his camera.  Luka wasn't the only one watching her as just down the road we see a mysterious woman spying on them.  Bayonetta relaxes at a bar called "Gates of Hell" (brilliant bar name) and watches the news and hears that a church lead by a guy named Balder is trying to resurrect a dead God.  Bayonetta doesn't like that and thus she is on her way to put a stop to him but on her way she gets caught in a portal.  In this portal she meets a little girl but soon after they get attacked by Angels.  Bayonetta defeats the Angels and takes the little girl with her.  Will Bayonetta find out who this mysterious girl is?  Will she put a stop to Balder?  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Toradora! The Complete Series" is an animated drama series about a group of teenagers (that's a vague description for an anime, I know).  This show starts off about a teen-aged boy named Ryuji and he is a bit upset and angry as people are afraid of him because he has eyes that are very scary to look at, in reality he is a very gentle person that has a crush on his classmate, Minori (a cute red head with a tom boy attitude).  Meanwhile in this very same school we have the other main character, Taiga.  Taiga is very petite, very bratty and is also in love with a fellow classmate.  After school has ended we see Ryuji walking into his classroom to pick up his schoolbag only to walk into Taiga putting a love letter in his bag.  Later that night we see Ryuji looking at the letter and finds that it is empty and then goes to bed.  While Ryuji is sleeping we see someone sneaking into his house and tries to attack him with a wooden sword.  The attacker is none other than Taiga and she is angry as Ryuji got the love letter and it wasn't meant for him.  Ryuji finds out that Taiga has a crush on his best friend named Yusaku and she is very embarrassed that someone knows of her crush.  Ryuji calms her down by showing her his collection of stuff he has made for his crush.  Turns out that Ryuji's crush is Taiga's best friend and vice versa, thus Ryuji makes a deal with Taiga to help her get with Yusaku and Taiga will help Ryuji get together with Midori...  But she also wants another stipulation added to their deal and that's for Ryuji to be her dog (AKA her bitch) to which he accepts.  Looks like this is a start of a beautiful friendship.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Ghost in the Shell: 25th Anniversary Edition" is the new high definition re-release of the classic science fiction animated film, "Ghost in the Shell".  "Ghost in the Shell" is about an android named Motoko Kusanagi whom is also known as "Major" due to her rank.  Motoko is part of a secret police force known as "Section Nine" whose sole purpose is to take on the tougher missions and cases that the other police teams can't handle...  Actually they do tackle some cases the other teams can handle but they can do it in a much better way.  After completing  a mission we see that Section Nine are soon back at work on a very tough case.  This tough case is about them trying to capture a master hacker known as "Puppet Master" who hacks people with cybernetic parts into doing some of his dirty work such as: Stock manipulation and terrorism.  Some news has also struck that Puppet Master is currently in the city where Section Nine are based thus their chances of catching him or her is much better than normal.  Can Motoko and Section Nine catch Puppet Master or will they be hacked themselves before they can find his or her trail?  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Medaka Box: Abnormal" (also known as Medaka Box - Season Two) in an animated action show set in an high school full of crazy characters (I suggest reading the review of the first season "here" to get a better description of the main characters).  Picking up right where the first season left off we see Medaka coming out of hospital and returns back to school to which is in the process of being rebuilt due to what happened in the prior season.  Medaka also gets called up to the office by the Headmaster of the school and he discusses that Medaka is no ordinary girl as she has some extraordinary abilities and that she is in a class of humans known as "Abnormal" (just think of the mutants found in the "X-Men (1963 -Ongoing)").  Medaka is also invited to join an elite group known as "Thirteen Party" but she refuses to join as she doesn't like the sick and disturbing things that they do.  Since she won't join the group, she must fight against the group as she is now their enemy.  It is now up for Medaka and her amazing friends to put a stop to Thirteen Party and save the lives of many people.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Kill la Kill - Volume One" is an animated action comedy series about a seventeen year old girl named Ryuko Matoi.  Ryuko is a woman on a mission as when she was little she suffered a great tragedy as her father was murdered by a mysterious killer that left behind one giant red scissor. Ryuko now uses the giant one armed scissor (cut away, cut away*) to try to avenge her father with and get revenge on the killer.  Ryuko has done some information digging and has a hunch to who the killer is and transfers herself to a school to where they might be.  This is no ordinary school as it's a hellish place where it's a fight for life just to get to class.  The reason why is due to how the students are ranked, the lowest rank is "Zero Stars" and the highest is "Three Stars".  The reason why there are ranks is due to the uniforms that the characters wear as the school uniform has some powers and the higher the rank, more power you get.  Ryuko makes it to school and within the first five minutes of being there she picks a fight with the student council as she suspects the leader of knowing who killed her father.  Sadly Ryuko gets her butt whooped but makes a quick escape before the student council tries to takes away her weapon.  Later that day she goes down to her old house where the tragedy happened but falls down a mysterious trap door.  She lands safely in a pile of clothes but she isn't alone as there is a creature down there that thirsts for blood and that creature is...  A "Sailor Uniform"?  That's right it's a sailor uniform.  The sailor uniform spots Ryuko and forces itself on her (not in that way, sickos) and by that I quite literally mean "on her" as it forces her to wear it.  Turns out the sailor uniform isn't a bad guy after all and it could actually help her beat the student council but with a catch as the uniform needs blood to live.  Ryuko accepts the partnership with the sailor uniform and thus she tries her best to avenge her father.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Amnesia" is an animated drama series about a young female adult named...  Well I am unsure about her name as it is not said anywhere in this show.  Why, you ask?  Because on one fine afternoon while working at a café she suddenly finds herself on her back completely unaware of who she is and where she is.  That's right, she suffers from amnesia.  Now how she got amnesia is where this story becomes a little iffy as the way she got amnesia was that she was bumped into by a spirit that looks like a fairy and is named Orion.  Orion is very sorry that he bumped into her and is willing to help her undo his mistake and return her life back to normal.  Not too long after that conversation we see a bunch of men come into the room and boy are they worried about her.  The young woman is a bit worried as these men seem like strangers to her but she goes along with them despite that.  Turns out the men are her childhood friends and they care for her very much.  The young woman starts to relax and try her best to continue her life and she seems to be getting some of her memories back.  While on a trip to the mountains so they can set off some fireworks we see a little spat between the young woman and one of her friends which leads to her running off and falling down a cliff (aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh SPLAT).  Later on we see that she has awoken in a bed only to find something very shocking has happened.  What is it you ask?  Let's just say that it will lead to some crazy things.  (Click "Read More" to read the full review).

"Parasite Dolls" is an animated science fiction action show set right in the heart of the AD Police universe where shows such as "Bubblegum Crisis (1987 - 1991)" and "AD Police (1990)" take place. This show is about a secret squad that the AD Police have that's sole purpose is to take out androids named "Boomers" that have gone rogue. In this squad we have a guy named Buzz whom is afraid of using guns due to something that has happened to him during a case in his past, his partner named Rod whom is an android/boomer himself, the young gun named Reiko whom has a bit of an itchy trigger finger, master computer hacker named Bill whom can crack his way into anything, and lastly we have Angel whom is a beautiful spy that goes deep undercover to help the squad score some information about the criminals they are pursuing. In this mini-series we will see our squad take on three different cases set over a seven to eight year period that covers everything from violence, sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll all in this futuristic noir style of detective tales in the same vein as "Blade Runner (1982)" or "Psycho-Pass (2012 -2013)" if you are a younger anime fan (I'm the one to talk as I'm pretty young myself).
