Computer Chronicles

Browsing Archive.org's video section I came across a show called Computer Chronicles. The show ran from 1981 to 2002 on PBS.  Looking at this window into the past has been very enjoyable.  Especially seeing the evolution of computing from being something for hobbyists and nerds to being in nearly every home.

This episode talks all about games and was produced in 1988. One segment a developer mentions his excitement of the upcoming Compact Disc Interactive. The CDi. I believe LOL is the correct response. Also a Flight Sim program is shown off by developers from Electronic Arts. Very cool episode of the show. There are tons of episodes uploaded to archive.org

This 1985 episode is all about the Macintosh and it's great new applications.  So interesting to see people talk about this stuff when it was new.

One of the newer episodes from 1999 even featured the Sega Dreamcast and the Neo Geo Pocket color.  Definitely a show worth checking out for a retro computing enthusiast and retro gamers alike.

You can check out the rest of the show by clicking here and checking out the archive page.
