Tired of anime with androgynous males as protagonists and a light-hearted approach? Look no further than Berserk, a simply epic dark fantasy starring Guts, a man so badass, his name is based on something he sees every day of his life. My guest on the show is Team Rival, check out his channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/Diglio

I have never seen or read Berserk as I am not much of an anime or manga fan, but I have heard nothing but great things about both. I'm forward to more videos in the future:D Have a good day!

Looks cool. I've got really bored on anime and I haven't watched any for a few years. The ones that interest me more are older anime shows from the 80s and 90s. I think it has become too cliched and inward-looking these days.

@shaurz Well Berserk is from the 90's anyways so you're not straying to far from your norm, lol.

Some anime these days are cliche, yeah, but there are still some like Bakemonogatari, FLCL, FullMetal Alchemist and a few others that break the mold and do something different.

FLCL was out there for sure, haha. It has a really good soundtrack. I enjoy the music The Pillows make. I think that's what interests me most about things nowadays, the music. I have heard some songs from Beserk on youtube and they were pretty moving in that rock shit kind of way. Looks like I have some music I should be rediscovering:D

Yes! New segment! I am glad you reviewed Berserk, it is definitely a great one. I am a big fan of the art style. As well, the music is bloody epic, just an overall great package!

Berserk was a pretty good Japanese animation. I really did enjoy it but the first few episodes of Berserk however were pretty slow and uninteresting but get the show really starts getting good from then on. The only problem I have with the show is that it the ending which just says now go read the manga which sort of made me mad since I don't read any manga and I wanted to know what happened next but now since Berserk is going to turn into a series of Japanese animated full length movies, similar to Evangelion, that made me happy. I just hope that the movies will continue from where the show left off at and keep going from there. I also hope they get the voices of Guts and Griffith back in the English dub of the movies because they really did a good job with their parts.
